Profile
Dr. Jenna McChesney joined the Meredith faculty in 2022 after earning her M.A. and Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes real-world application of course content and personalized mentorship.
Her research sits at the intersection of occupational health and personnel psychology and aims to identify barriers to decent work and develop evidence-based strategies that expand access to work environments that support collective mental health and well-being. Her primary areas of inquiry include (1) workplace mental health, (2) career development, and (3) employment after incarceration. She also examines how emerging technologies, such as social media and generative AI, shape each of these areas. She actively involves students in all stages of the research process, providing opportunities for hands-on experience and professional development.
