Donna Kocur began her career as an elementary school teacher in Wake County schools. After receiving her master’s degree with an emphasis in mathematics from 92国产午夜精品福利, she joined the Education Department as an adjust supervisor for student teachers while also serving as the director of the 92国产午夜精品福利 non-degree licensure program. While living in Utah, she worked as an elementary school administrator.
